Title: Molotow Liquid Chrome Marker
Post by: Logan67 on May 05, 2017, 05:33:37 AM
Found great new item Molotow liquid chrome marker 2mm (better for detailing than 4mm).  Great for adding chrome detail (mirror effect) on model kits. Looks like chrome paint but easier to use and control since it's a marker. Paint resist scratches and abrasion, UV resistance, for indoor/outdoor use. Awe-some item to add to your hobby tool paint collection. Found it at Hobby Lobby $11.99 - Use 40% discount = $7.20 for marker. But I have also found them on Ebay.

They also make this with a 1mm tip I just bought at Hobby Lobby today. It was the same price as the 2mm marker. Great for detailing small area on a model kit.

Also used it to make mirrors on cars for outside and inside rear -view mirrors - when it dries it auto-levels and looks like a smooth mirror surface. I also use it to detail Gundams for detailing bolts, hoses, and etc...

These are great. I convinced my local to start carrying them. I would highly highly recommend top coating these as soon as they dry via paint or Pledge floor care.

I'll have to seek some of these out myself. Looks promising.

Those are great, I've seen people use its ink for airbrush too, tho quite expensive I might add.

I have the refill bottle, it's 17ml if I remember right, and it goes fantastic through an airbrush. The refill bottle is expensive but it goes a very long way. It doesn't need any specific primer it can go straight on plastic, although I haven't tried this. Top coat with aquagloss for protection. You lose a bit of shine but not a huge amount. Since it's a gloss finish it does show up in perfections. Worth the punt!!!
