Lighting for Pics
« on: June 24, 2017, 05:37:09 PM »

2 compact studio lights and 2 sets of filters - blue, yellow and instruction book.
Bought on Ebay for taking pics of model kits $21.95

Studio lights on. Light output a little to bright.

I taped rice paper to the front of the LED lamps and it soften the light output.
I taped it to the front of the lamps to give it some space from the LED bulbs (instead of unscrewing the cap and placing it there) because the LED bulbs gets hot very quickly. And rice paper, since it's paper can brown from heat or burn.
Much better pictures.

Still experimenting with the lights on taking pictures.

I was getting envious of ZakuAurelius & GundamUK pics and videos.
They always look so good.

I don't think you really need to buy a photo booth.
Before I bought the lights I have been doing research and considered buying a photo booth.
But I have been having good luck with taking pics with these 2 studio lights and hanging a black or white cloth for the back-ground.
I went to my local Wal-mart and bought 1 square yard of white and black (about $2.99 for each color).
I washed both of the cloth and ironed them (to remove creases) and have been very useful on all the pics I have taken.
Plus they are easy to store - I just hang them on a cloth hanger and put them in the closet.
And if it creases up again just iron it.
