Kit Questions
« on: July 11, 2017, 03:08:12 PM »
I am putting together a list of the first few gunpla I want to try get my hands on. And one of the models I want is the MG 1/100 Khsatriya.

I have been checking it out on google images and would like to know if there are different releases of the model. Not different versions, but updated standard versions. Some of the pics I see look like the big covers on the wings don't open. I am wanting one that I can display with all the covers open.

If you Google image the Khsatriya NZ-666 its the one that pops up. I have a mate in Japan and need to be very precise when I send him to grab me models. Is this NZ-666 the model number of the kit and is it Master Grade.

The other is an Open Hatch Sazabi 1/100 MG. Does this come as a model with open hatches or are they hatches that can be open or closed. And Does it only come in Ver. Ka.

The third is the Sinanju 1/100 MG. I think the model number is the MSN-06.

Any advice on which model variations you prefer of the three I listed would be very helpful. I am new to this and don't have anything to physically go look at in South Africa.

I don't particularly care about the colours and I would rather have them plain, the Sinanju looks cool in the red chrome, but I plan on doing some custom putty and paint work. I just want the most impressive looking kit to build on.

Thanks guys.

If your talking Bandai only then they do not make a 1/100 MG Kashatria. Bandai only do these in HG 1/144 and there are 2 versions, standard and repaired.

http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10097654

You can only get the Kashatria in a 1/100 scale as a resin kit and there at least 3 diferent kits that i have seen.

A bit of info on a good one.

And there are other 1/144 options as well.

Sazabi. Yes is it can do the open hatch gimmick and is a truly amazing kit and highly recommend.

And this would be my recommendation for an impressive kit.

Thanks so much for the responses.

What a shame. That Elyn Hobby model seems to be the exact Kshatriya I wanted. I have no idea of how to even hunt one down. The shop my mate will most likely go to is Yodabashi Camera. So I need to grab things they can offer. Unless somebody knows where those resin kits can be found in a walk in store.

I will definitely go with the Ver. Ka Sinanju, the non chrome red version, and the Ver. Ka Sazabi.

The other model I have been interested in is the Astray. Are there differences between the red and blue frame or is it just a colour option. I see there is a Sengoku version though. Torn between which one I like, there are features on each that are appealing. I like the Astray because of the swords. So if there are any other sword wielding models you think I should check out the let me know. I stumbled across the Sword Impulse so he is the other sword model I may pick up at a later date. I prefer the smaller swords.

Those are the 4 I know I want to get. I need to find a 5th model to wrap up my first order. I want something with a lot of wings like the Strike Freedom, though it doesn't really have that many. If you have recommendations on anything there I would love to hear them.

Not an expert on tge Astray but i do love the design, i have build a RG 1/144 and a PG 1/60 scale to build. I think its only minor difference but the weapons are very different between the frames.

Big imposing gundam with wing.....
Have a look at the Hi Nu, i think its a stunning looking MS.

3rd party kits are also somthing you may or may not consider. This gundam central will probably deliver to you. I like these and have to in my stash to build. They may require a little more effort to build but i like the stuff Dragon Momoko do.

I would not recommend any of the direct bandai knock off kits from TT goagoa.
