Gbwc 2016
« on: October 03, 2016, 08:03:17 PM »
Saw this and thought I'd post. It's the Japanese round of gunpla builders world cup. Some really nice work and some not so brilliant..... Can someone explain the shop based competition as that's where the not so brilliant kits are. Also does anyone know if there's similar galleries for the other regions?

I think you can see all the current completed rounds via this site:

Not sure what the shop based compo is, must be a Japanese thing. Some incredible work on show for sure.

Congratulations to Tim aka child of Mecha on winning new York comicon gbwc. If I remember right from the last gunpla talk hes been working on his zeta for an age but it goes to show you that hard work pays off. Love to see some close up pics of his kit.

Wouldn't you love to be considered the 'Gunpla Expert' though, and be on the judging team. Cheers for the link.

I have been a judge for a few events, but my gosh I would love to do it at a UK GBWC event. One day... one day! (shaking fist at sky).

What's interesting about being a Bandai Judge is, once you are a judge, they don't let you compete anymore.

Patting myself on the back... got bluefin judges choice this year lol it was very random to hear when they announced it.

Thats kind of stingy of them.

I'll never compete so will therefore never judge, so it's no skin off my nose.  (Don't think I can handle the idea of doing something to be better than other people these days... I'm a born Omega.)

I love the competition of it all. Pushes you to be better and better. Next year is the year I go all in, till then, practice, practice, drink myself to sleep over fear I will never be good enough, practice and more practice. I wanna be the very best like no one ever was! Mine is the drill that will pierce the heavens! Use the force...I...I panicked on the last one.
